Comet releases desktop cursor program

Comet Systems has released a desktop application that allows consumers to quickly change the appearance of their cursor. The downloadable file works with the existing Comet Cursor, which allows a Web site to change the appearance of a cursor as a surfer moves around the site. Banner ads can also be cursor-enabled. The new My Comet Cursor application allows consumers to change cursors on their standard desktop, and to update them with new files from the Comet Web site. Comet officials said they would be releasing timely cursors, such as special Oscar-themed cursors made available today. -- Margaret Kane, ZDNet News
